For Our Patients

Patient Information

Everything you need to prepare for your procedure — pre-operative instructions, insurance guidance, and answers to common questions.

Before Your Procedure

Pre-Operative Instructions

01

Pre-Admission Testing

Your surgeon may order lab work, an EKG, or a chest X-ray prior to your procedure. These tests must be completed prior to your surgery.

02

Medication Instructions

Inform your surgeon of all medications, vitamins, and supplements you take. You may be asked to stop certain blood thinners, anti-inflammatories, or herbal supplements 7–14 days before surgery.

03

Nothing by Mouth (NPO)

Do not eat or drink anything — including water, gum, or mints — after midnight the night before your procedure unless your surgeon instructs otherwise.

04

Arrange Transportation

You must have a responsible adult drive you home and remain with you for the first 24 hours following your procedure. You will not be permitted to drive yourself.

05

What to Wear & Bring

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and any completed paperwork provided by your surgeon's office.

06

Arrival Time

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled procedure time to complete registration and pre-operative preparation.

Important: These are general guidelines. Your surgeon's office will provide procedure-specific instructions that may differ from or supplement those listed here. Always follow the instructions given directly by your surgical team.
